报告题目：The Influence of NPOs on Low Carbon Operations: the Perspectives of Resource-Based View and Resource Dependency Theory

报告摘要：
Non-Profit-Organization (NPO) is an active stakeholder that aims to engage firms for decarbonization, but studies about how NPOs influence firms to decarbonize are limited. To explore this void, we conduct case studies of seven NPO low carbon programs. Through the lens of Resource-Based-View (RBV) and Resource-Dependence-Theory (RDT), NPOs’ influence approaches and processes are analyzed from “Activity-Actor-Resource”. It is found that NPOs would examine the supply chains of focal firms and choose partner actors to influence the latter. We propose that the selection of partners depends on the origins and development paths of NPOs; the resource which NPOs rely on to perform influence needs to fit with the stakeholder types of the chosen partners; the relationship between NPOs and partners determines the process mode of influencing focal firms; and NPOs’ access to the resources needed by focal firms determines the alignment between NPOs’ influences and the responses of focal firms. The research also provides a practical framework for NPO practitioners to structure influence strategies not only calling for decarbonization but also for other advocacy agenda.
主讲人简介：
胡嘉伦博士的研究领域主要涵盖双碳管理、数字化转型、可持续工业系统与运营管理等，关注与双碳目标相衔接的企业社会责任与治理实践。入选国家海外高层次人才青年项目，任国内航空央企集团碳中和专家，负责集团碳达峰行动与环境事务，及科研项目的组织实施。归国前他先后于伦敦大学皇家霍洛威学院、玛丽女王学院任高级讲师（副教授），主持及参与英国、欧盟及国际合作的多项低碳与可持续发展研究项目，并为多家世界500强企业提供咨询。胡博士的研究成果发表于企业管理与运营管理期刊，包括《Production Planning & Control》《Industrial Management & Data Systems》《Resources, Conservation & Recycling》等，其系美国管理学会（Academy of Management）及欧洲运营管理学会（European Operations Management Association）成员。
